Voting
Voting will be counted using the same third party survey site that I used last year to ensure voter privacy, full result displays, and to be able to handle a large number of votes (over 2500 last year and I’m betting there will be quite a few more voters this year). Winners will be announced on January 1, 2011. See below for the voters ballot.
If you have any questions please check out the Awards FAQ from last year which is essentially the same for this year. Feel free to contact me too!

Hi Abigail :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful contest...
although it took heart-breaking to choose just ONE cover amidst the glorious bounty.
I posted about this & Tweeted too.
I hope everyone checks out these covers (& your site)
All the best,
RKCharron
Woohoo! Let the games begin. Thanks for taking the time to put this event together again.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I just voted... it was tough to choose from all of the great covers! Best of luck to them all!
ReplyDeletePhew... That was a bunch of tough choices! That was not so nice to put Firelight & Nightshade against each other like that. ;D They are both so good! And the Female Covers... just cruel! ;D
ReplyDeleteAll are great covers. I think they all are winners before we even come down to the end. All are amazing!
such tough choices! >_<
ReplyDeletethat was tough. Voting completed
ReplyDeleteWoot! Woot! I've been looking forward to this all year. It was so hard picking.
ReplyDeleteHarder to pick this year than last but still fun, thanks for taking the time to set this up for us Abigail it was a lot of work on your part!
ReplyDeletejackie >_<
Forgive me for dampening all the enthusiasm around this contest, and truly some of these covers feature some great artwork, but am I really the only one to notice the complete absence of any covers featuring people of color? I have seldom seen such a celebration of whiteness.
ReplyDeleteRK - I know! Not a bad one in the bunch :)
ReplyDeleteJen D - I am such a cover art junkie myself, so I love this!
Scoot - Already over 600 voters and it looks like a lot of people are having a tough time choosing. More than one categories has covers that are separated by only a single vote!
Melissa - I feel your pain. I'm just glad I didn't have to do the nominating :)
Giada - I know. Sneak Peak category is the one I'd have the most trouble choosing between.
Stacey - Thanks for voting!
Shera - I've been looking forward to it too! This last week was the worst when all the nominations were finished and I had to wait until I could open voting :)
Jackie B - I had worked out a lot of the bugs last year, so it was much less work setting everything up. Thanks for voting!
Anonymous - nearly 50 experts nominated the final covers, and there are several featuring people of color/non white: BLAMLESS (Italian), FIREWALKER (Native American), SILVER BORNE & The Mercy Thompson series & RIVER MARKED (Native American), HAUNTED HONEYMOON (Hispanic)... I know there are more, but a complete absence of people of color is completely inaccurate.
Thanks once again for such a great job Abigail. I voted, geez it was hard!
ReplyDeleteThat was fun!
ReplyDeleteTynga - I this year is even harder than last year :)
ReplyDeleteHoney - Oh good! Thanks for voting.
So incredibly difficult! The added bonus is I now have a whole new Christmas list because some of these covers are entirely new to me. Hooray! More books for me. I might even try a few of the YA titles...such pretty covers.
ReplyDeleteI love book covers! They're like art to me.
ReplyDeleteAnna - There are so many I still need to read. I'm trying to get to as many of the nominees this month. Should be fun :)
ReplyDeleteMidnyte Reader - Me too! The artists responsible do amazing work.
Oh, such gorgeous covers! I know I'm echoing a lot of other people when I say...SO hard to choose but lovely to see all the beautiful artwork. :) Thanks so much for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteSara - I love looking at all of them too. I think the paranormal covers are some of the best out there.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to look through all the covers and vote, thanks for the contest! I've posted the link on my blog as well!
ReplyDeleteGreat contest. Best of luck to all the nominees. :)
ReplyDeleteshaunesay - Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteCassandra -Isn't it fun!
This is great. Thanks for the hard work! It really was tough to choose ;) I did have a problem though; there was only one choice for the series covers to click on. All the pictures were there; however, only the Torment series had a listing beneath them before it moved on to the next category. I would have voted for Melissa Marr's series if it had let me.
ReplyDeleteNever mind! I guess it was just my internet connection not letting the page load completely. Weird... Anyway, thanks again for the hard work!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got it worked out :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing choices and tough decisions!
ReplyDeleteI already vote!
ReplyDeleteI've just voted and oh gosh how hard it is to choose only one cover :S
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I loved the contest! :D
Lunalula - Excellent. I hope you picked my favorites ;)
ReplyDeleteLis - Tell me about it. I'm just glad it's not up to me :)
Wow, I think I'll vote, just for the fun XD.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!!! :p
ReplyDeletemayumako - And if you win a prize, it's extra fun :)
ReplyDeletePantera - Back at you!
