For the "second cycle" of The Mortal Instruments we wanted to do something that would link the cover aesthetically to the earlier covers while having a different quality that announced that this was a new chapter in these characters' lives. The new immortals instrument cover is stunning. I love how it keeps to the same design style, but is distinguishable. The Clary looks a little older then I pictured her.

ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who doesn't like the CoFA cover? Clary hair looks like some kind of orange, vaguely hair-shaped cloud that's just floating behind her head. Both she and Simon look like mannequins.
