Remember when we took part in the Nine Paths to Chloe King game earlier this summer to gear up for the new ABC Family show, The Nine Lives of Chloe King?  I hope you all took advantage of the numerous free gifts (jewelry, t-shirts etc) that we unlocked while playing. 

Because we completed all nine paths, I got to submit a question for cast member Alyssa Diaz (she plays Jasmine on the show):

So have you been watching the show?  It took a few episodes for me to get hooked, but I’ve been watching each week and it’s turning out to be exactly the kind of fun show that’s perfect for summer.  I’m a big fan of the impossible romance between Chloe and Brian.  I mean the poor girl can’t even kiss him because he’ll die…talk about a romantic obstacle to overcome.  You can catch it on Tuesday nights at 9/8c on ABC Family.

I received this email back from Chloe:

Hey there! I’m not checking emails at the moment! Between school, birthday, and my crazy life I’m a bit busy! Promise I’ll check in soon and get back to you!

This is it! the 9th and final path in The Nine Paths to Chloe King game.

The email I got this morning directed me Rezzacapital.com which requires a password to access. My email included a coded message in Mai, YELTIHW, and it led to a list of emails in various languages:

My email told me to focus on either Ukrainian or Russian addresses, so I thought I’d just translate the name ‘Chloe King’ using an online Ukrainian translator. Then I started scanning the list for anything that looked similar and there it was.  I used my translator to double check it and provide the English version and sent her an email as directed with the message TRUST NO ONE.

I don’t think I was the first one to send the message, so I don’t believe I’ll be the one ‘rewarded’ but I still had a lot of fun playing this game and I’d be so happy if one on my Circle won the Grand Prize.  Either way I can’t wait to watch the show tomorrow night. 

And just cause I’m curious, anyone know how to translate Chloe’s birth certificate?

I received a postcard, a warning about a Foe and a security breach, and a Mai Protection Charm

He signed his name Batko.me which people cleverer than me recognized as a website address.  Here is what it showed:

7th Path

Another package today. Inside was this very nice pen and a business card for Whitney Rezza.

When I flipped over the card it directed me to an item from the original box that provided a password:

The password unlocked a media folder on my Maipad.  Here is the video I found:

I got another package today with this t-shirt inside:

See the symbol? According to The Book of Mai it means Danger…

Along with my danger t-shirt was a note:

The enclosed garment will lead you down the Sixth Path. You must examine it very closely to hear what you need to hear. Try to remember every detail you discover along this Path. We need you to report what you hear back to the Mai via Email in order to receive the last challenge of this dangerous Path.

And an extension…

So I called and entered the extension when prompted.  It turned out to be an  intercepted message.  I used my Maipad Voice Recorder App to record it and upload it to youtube so you guys could hear it (FYI there is a ten second delay before the message starts):

Here is the message:

We believe the Uniter is here, in San Francisco. If this girl is, in fact, The Uniter, remember she has nine lives. You must eliminate this threat. One word of caution, it has come to our attention that a group called The Circle is helping the Mai. Do not allow them to get in your way. I repeat: Do not allow The Circle to get in your way. Eliminate the threat.

Well the Mai email today told me translate a symbol on the tag and ‘follow the path where it leads.’  The symbol is included in the Book of Mai on my iPad and means TRUST.  The big has a website listed as kiddiebibs.com which opens to this:

Are you playing the online version at ABC Family - The Nine Lives of Chloe King - Nine Paths to Chloe King?  The fourth path there is slightly different and has just been unlocked.

I received a Bastet charm and a code that when deciphered said: The Uniter is Chloe King.  Then I got this message:

I’ll be posting the 4th path later today

I received the next task to complete in The Nine Paths to Chloe King game.  If you missed the first task post and explanation of how to play the game, you can read about it here along with how to claim a limited edition Circle charm.

Path #2:

Starts with an email from a Mai that included this picture along with three questions to answer:

What is the ancient Egyptian name for this statue?
I love Egyptology, so I recognized this as cat goddess Bastet.

What very warm and bright star did ancient Egyptians originally connect to this statue?
A quick Wikipedia search revealed Bastet as a solar deity, so the second answer is Sun.

What city in Egypt contained a "cult" that was dedicated to the Goddess connected to this statue?
More searching on Wikipedia disclosed the city as Bubastis.

 

We are then supposed to combine all three words and search Youtube and we get a video titled:

Bastet, great Goddess of Bubastis, shines the Sun upon the Nine Paths to The Uniter!
