Here it is in all Gabe’s glory!

My Thoughts: Thumbs up
I still think everyone looks a little mature for a YA novel, but they are supposed to be in college now.  I do like that Gabe is front and center this time.

Description:

Luc Cain was born and raised in Hell, but he isn't feeling as demonic as usual lately--thanks to Frannie Cavanaugh and the unique power she never knew she had. But you can't desert Hell without consequences, and suddenly Franie and Luc find themselves targeted by the same demons who used to be Luc's allies.

Left with few options, Frannie and Luc accept the protection of Heaven and one of its most powerful angels, Gabe. Unfortunately, Luc isn't the only one affected by Frannie, and it isn't long before Gabe realizes that being around her is too...tempting. Rather than risk his wings, he leaves Frannie and Luc under the protection of her recently acquired guardian angel.

Which would be fine, but Gabe is barely out the door before an assortment of demons appears--and they're not leaving without dragging Luc back to Hell with them. Hell won’t give up and Heaven won’t give in. Frannie's guardian exercises all the power he has to keep them away, but the demons are willing to hurt anyone close to Frannie in order to get what they want. It will take everything she has and then some to stay out of Hell's grasp.
And not everyone will get out of it alive.

I just turned in the final edits on SPIRIT DANCES, which means the Walker Papers series is officially 2/3rds in the can. In celebration, I give you the cover! (Behind the cut, ’cause it’s large.)

My Thoughts: Thumbs up
I always like when the cover identifies the setting, Seattle in this case.  Plus I’m digging her Native American belt.

My Thoughts: Thumbs down
I’m not sure if it’s the fuzzy image quality or the actual cover, but he looks a little furry rather than scaly.  And I’m on the fence about the pastel colors.

Changeling Moon by Dan Harper

Date/Publisher: May 31st 2011 by Brava
Cover Artist: N/A

Author Comments:
Just got the cover art for the first book in my upcoming shapeshifter series with Kensington. This story is classed as paranormal romance, but you'll find plenty of action and suspense in it. I'm really excited and looking forward to the release in May. It's soooo hard to wait, so I thought I'd share a preview with everyone!

My Thoughts: Thumbs up
The pops of tangerine red are so eye catching against her purple skin.

Description:

He roams the moonlit wilderness, his every sense and instinct on high alert. Changeling wolf Connor Macleod and his Pack have never feared anything — until the night human Zoey Tyler barely escapes a rogue werewolf’s vicious attack.

As the full moon approaches, Zoey has no idea of the changes that are coming, and only Connor can show her what she is, and help her master the wildness inside. With her initiation into the Pack just days away and a terrifying predator on the loose, the tentative bonds of trust and tenderness are their only weapons against a force red in tooth, claw … and ultimate evil.

I love the simplicity of these covers, and the numbers on the skin are deliciously creepy.

The Chaos (Numbers, #2)
Description:

Adam sees 'numbers' - when he looks in peoples' eyes he can see their death-dates, just like his mum Jem used to. Adam has trouble dealing with his awful gift, and when he realizes that everyone around him has the same series of numbers, he becomes deeply afraid of what might happen in 2025.
Desperate to find out what could be about to go wrong, Adam spends hours researching possibilities - war, nuclear accidents, killer viruses. He knows something big is coming, but what? And is there anything he can possibly do about it?

Best one yet.  The mere peak of fangs and glowing eyes are so subtly sexy.

Demon Song (Bloodsinger, #3)
Description:

In a world where magic is real and the supernatural is almost normal, bodyguard Celia Graves has survived a vampire attack which made her a half-vampire and awakened her latent Siren abilities. She’s battled a Siren Queen to the death and twice faced down a demon that wants to kill her--slowly. She’s also had her heart broken--twice--by her old flame, magician Bruno DeLuca.
Perhaps the worst thing was the discovery that Celia’s life has been warped by a curse laid on her during childhood--the cause of everything from the death of her little sister to the murder of her best friend the same night that Celia became an Abomination.
An ancient rift between the demonic dimension and our own--sealed during the destruction of Atlantis--begins to open, threatening to loose all the demons of hell on humanity (including the one personally bent on destroying Celia). Celia’s hellish recent experiences have given her the unique combination of abilities needed to close the rift. But to overcome the curse, which nearly guarantees her failure, she’ll need to join forces with people she no longer trusts...and put people she has come to care about directly in harm’s way.

  7. Ooo, all of these covers are pretty good. NIGHT VIEL & DEMON SONG really do rock the cover boat.

It always bothers me in the store when I see Kenyon's Night Hunter books and none of the covers really match.

  8. Shera - I don't know why they can't keep her covers the same. I mean she is Sherrilyn Kenyon!

  9. In Dragon Bound's defense, that image is pretty awful quality. Here's mine: http://twitpic.com/2te8ns

Of course, neither is the final cover, which has blurbs from Nalini Singh and J.R. Ward instead of a tagline. That's up on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Bound-Novel-Elder-Races/dp/0425241505/ref=sr_1_1

  10. Amy - Thanks so much for the better image. I'm glad to see that he really does look scaly. Much better.
