Description:

Killing Rites

JaynÉ Heller has discovered the source of her uncanny powers: something else is living inside her body. She's possessed. Of all her companions, she can only bring herself to confide in Ex, the former priest. They seek help from his old teacher and the circle of friends he left behind, hoping to cleanse JaynÉ before the parasite in her becomes too powerful.

Ex’s history and a new enemy combine to leave JaynÉ alone and on the run. Her friends, thinking that the rider with her has taken the reins, try to hunt her down, unaware of the danger they’re putting her in. JaynÉ must defeat the weight of the past and the murderous intent of another rider, and her only allies are a rogue vampire she once helped free and the nameless thing hiding inside her skin.

  1. Cool giveaway.

The instructions asked what series I'd like to see made into a TV series or movie. Kim Harrison's Hollows books, for sure.

And I would love to see The Black Dagger Brotherhood on the big screen!

  6. I'd like to see Kelly Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series as a TV show, as long as they would actually stick to the characters as written.

  8. I would definitely like to see the Hollows series be made into a TV show. I think I read an article that they are planning to do just that!

  9. Now that special effects are so good any would be great, if they didn't get cancelled after two weeks. Shows with suprnatural elements don't sem to do well. Tops on my list would be the Kate Daniels series followed by Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series. I think I read though that The Rachel Morgan series was picked up for development too.

  10. Here's the link to Kim Harrison's website which talks about the POSSIBLE tv show:

    http://kimharrison.wordpress.com/2011/10/26/the-hollows-on-tv/

    Sounds very tentative right now.

  28. I don't really want any of my favorite book series to be made into a series... I think TV has a tendency to mess up a great story. That and it never lives up to my expectations, lol. But if they did a cartoon series, I'd love to see Anne Bishop's THE LANDSCAPES OF EPHEMERA series

    ReplyDelete

  44. I like when movies or TV are based on linked short stories, rather than one long book. The structure of short stories seem to flesh out better in the available time. But no linked short stories are popping into my head. Tough finding one that is both clean enough and in small enough chunks.

    ReplyDelete

  57. I have to say that SyFi channel and A&E have done some good work in making unusual shows that are really likable. Thank is my caveat for turning a book into a show or series; too often they are skewed in a different direction that to me is not as fun. I would love to see Nancy Holzner's Deadtown series, but again I would love to see it well done and not just sensationalized:) Thank you for the awesome giveaway opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think Seanan McGuire's October Daye series would look fabulous on the big screen.
