One copy of The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa
Available on November 6, 2011 by Harlequin Teen via Media Muscle
Description:
My name is Meghan Chase.
I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.
This time, there will be no turning back.

I have never really thought about this question but I bet I could come up with someone
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say it was possible Tarzan was. I know he was raised by the Ape's but really he speaks to all animals! There had to be something more going on there :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway!!
Perhaps Joan of Arc. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteLizzi0915 at aol dot com
For some reason I can't see the question. Sorry about that!
ReplyDeleteSherlock Holmes. I bet he was something that can see in the dark.
ReplyDeleteI can't see the question:( I am loving the new look! I have to put the new button on the blog. Thanks for the Awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAlice. I mean, she fought the freaking JABBERWOCKY and won! Girl must've had some kind of supernatural powers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway :)
I always thought Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz had to be supernatural. How else could she have gotten into Oz without being torn apart in the tornado?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this giveaway! And I always thought Sherlock Holmes had something to him ...
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with Sherlock Holmes!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking Sherlock Holmes is a good bet. How could he have solved so many hard cases with just facts. I think he had some sort of power that was like psychic abilities telling him what way to go.
ReplyDeleteHmm, none that I can think of. Except for the one who were canonically supernatural, like Dracula. And somehow I think I might cause no end of controversy if I go into the old joke about how Jesus was really a vampire... I guess I'm not that imaginative in that way! :)
ReplyDeleteJames Bond! Lo, he's just way to resourceful to be a mere humna!
ReplyDeleteI think perhaps Nancy Drew. She solved so many cases and got out of so many sticky situations. I wouldnt be surprised if a little magic was involved.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteNone I can think of off the top of my head but with certain 'powers' anyone certainly can be.
ReplyDeleteLove this series and I'd also go with Sherlock Holmes.
ReplyDeleteHedda Gabler.... she was just so weird.
ReplyDeleteI guess if I can pick anybody it would have to be Sherlock Holmes that man was just a little too smart.
ReplyDeleteI think Sherlock Holmes may have been. But that idea isn't unique to me. I heard about it in another book I read and it justseemed to make sense.
ReplyDeleteI can't see the question either and come to think of it, I haven't been able to see it lately. Have been looking at others comments to judge what to say.
ReplyDeleteSeeing a lot of Sherlock Holmes, so I'll go with that. Of course my version of Sherlock is RDJ!!
I see many have chosen Sherlock Holmes and that's the best bet, but besides that I think I'd choose the Winchester brothers. I know they are still going, but man they can get out of sticky situations.

The book quotes always sound powerful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway.
~ Cassandra Ruiz
Sherloc Holmes for sure. Or even Scarlet O'Hara, love her!
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMy choice: Sherlock Holmes. He always had that uncanny habit of finding things that are normally hard to see for others.

I never thought any famous literary characters were secretly supernatural. Although, wouldn't it be pretty cool if Disney princesses were secretly vampires? :D Yum
ReplyDeleteI also can't view the question for some reason. Sorry about that. Thanks for the giveaway, though! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a hard question! I'm going to say Indiana Jones. Just because that's the only person I can think of that isn't Sherlock, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!

I'm going to say Miss Marple from the Agatha Christie series. How that little old lady solved all those mysteries I will never know. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeletejcalvert719(at)yahoo(dot)com
I'm going to agree with the person who said Tarzan. I mean, I always thought it would be impossible for him to learn English the way he did, but if he was supernatural that might explain it.
ReplyDeleteJennelle S
I love this serise!
ReplyDeleteGah....nancy drew? She was my idol when I was 8....ahem...hides in corner...
ReplyDeleteDivya
Jessica Fletcher clearly had supernatural powers to be able to solve all those crimes. Or, possibly, she used her powers to commit the crimes...that's why she was always on hand to 'solve them! (g)

I can't actually see the question, but I'd love a chance to win!
ReplyDeletescr15@duke.edu
That's a tough question. I honestly read mostly paranormal type books but I agree with Sherlock Holmes. He has to have some type of supernatural inorder to be able to solve all those mysteries the way he did.
ReplyDeletetytysmommy21(at)hotmail(dot)com
Willy Wonka, of course! How else did he get his candy to taste so amazing, and how does he explain the flying glass elevator?
ReplyDeletejaidahsmommy(at)comcast(dot)net
It's funny. I was going to say Sherlock Holmes too until I saw everyone else did so how about Ebenezer Scrooge since he interacted with ghosts. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry I don't see the question everyone is answering but can I still enter the contest. I hope so!!
ReplyDeleteusignolc(at)yahooDOTcom
I think Moses was supernatural LOL. He parted the seas! The Bible is literature, so he's definitely a literary character.
ReplyDeleteangeldream3[AT]gmail[DOT]com
Yes, alas Sherlock Holmes and Indiana Jones, these are superhuman humans.
ReplyDeleteThe Cat in the Hat also seems pretty wild and supernatural to me.
I'm not sure about the literary characters, but I do have to say that I also wish the "disney" princesses were a bit more supernatural, or at least more realistic and less sappy (lol)
ReplyDeleteI love the Iron Fey series - and I'm a fan of both Ash and Puck - hard to choose between them!
Wow, I really can't wait for this!!! I'm gonna have to agree that Indiana Jones prob was supernatural!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree with those saying Sherlock Holmes. It would make the most sense, anyway.
ReplyDeleteooh, I can't wait to read this book, been anticipating it since the last book! But I really think that Sherlock Holmes had supernatural powers, lol, he was just too intuitive.
ReplyDeleteI think Conan the Barbarian had supernatural powers, even though Robert E. Howard didn't come right out and say that he did. I have to agree with the consensus that Sherlock Holmes did too.
ReplyDeleteI would go with Sherlock Holmes. That man is bloody brilliant!
ReplyDeleteCool! Thanks for the giveaway! :D
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I'd have to say Winnie the Pooh. :D Because bears can't talk, they're not yellow and they dont eat honey! :P Plus you gotta be a paranormal creature to be able to eat that much! ;)
I'd say Gale from The Hunger Games because of his ability to think of traps..
ReplyDeleteI think Sherlock Holems was.
ReplyDeleteI will say Sherlock Holmes, too.
ReplyDeleteAny of Jane Austen's match making characters could be a bit of a witch to help them in their en devours.
ReplyDeleteI agree with a lot of the above answers like Sherlock Holmes and Alice. I also think Joan of Arc and Dorothy from the wizard of Oz. I think they both might have been witches.
ReplyDeleteI have heard great things about this book and author and would love to win and read..
christinebails@yahoo.com
I agree with when they said Sherlock Holmes!! and like "Natasha" I think the Winchester brothers are secretly supernatural!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!!
ebbith0115[at]gmail[dot]com
I have to go with Sherlock Holmes.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I'd like to say Nancy Drew but I also agree with Willy Wonka. The stuff he was able to do was so out of this gumball...LOL
ReplyDeleteI will go with Sherlock Holmes'
ReplyDeleteaudie(at)wickerness(dot)com

ReplyDeleteCathy from East of Eden :)
ReplyDeleteI think Willy Wonka was secretly supernatural!
ReplyDeleteIs this giveaway international?
ReplyDeleteJane Eyre, because she was able to hear Mr. Rochester's voice in the wind.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Jenny Vasquez
Sherlock Holmes
ReplyDeleteWilly Wonka clearly has some magical powers up his sleeve! How else do you explain the oompa-loompa's?
ReplyDelete:D
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with Alice, Willy Wonka and Sherlock Holmes.
ReplyDeleteI like the thought of Indiana Jones with supernatural powers but is he a literary character? I should google this...
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with Sherlock Holmes and Willy Wonka. thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have to say Sherlock Holmes and I love the Willy Wonka ideas. That would totally make sense :)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree Willy Wonka had something somethign going on.
ReplyDeletelol i agree.. sherlock holmes.. and charlie has to have been supernatural!(from willy wonka)... alice from wonderland.
ReplyDeleteloved book one, would love the chance to win this!

I agree with Alice from Alice in Wonderland. If you really think about it how did she really find that hole and be the only "normal" human to go to Wonderland/Underland? Makes you think.

Edgar Allen Poe, all that talent could not have been natural!
ReplyDeleteLittle Red Riding Hood. Maybe she's secretly a vampire.
ReplyDeleteEven knowing that, expectations for it were variable. Especially considering several factors, the primary being this is Ash. This isn't Meghan. There isn't a precedence set for what to expect from him. This could make him and even more loveable character or this could break the illusion we've created for him, and we'll detest him when it's done. Considering this, this is a frightening book.
