| All of these covers are gorgeous, though I’d have a hard time picking out first in the series without Goodreads to point the way. | These covers are all so perfect for the character and series. I really love how accurately the tattoos match the description in the books. |

| The colors are well done on this cover, though the green eye-shadow may be just a little over the top. Love the arch of her eyebrows, the bright ivy, and that “sidhe red” hair. Ned the Pie Man has already thoroughly smashed my heart when it comes to “unrequited death touch love”, so Ember has all of my best wishes and hopes. | I like the too. The autumn colors, the forest setting, and the hoodie she’s wearing really tell me everything I need to know about the kind of story it will be. |

| I think it’s been firmly established that we’re not the target audience for faceless, barechest covers. This one made me think, “Holy scoliosis, Batman!” Any rant about inappropriate airbrushing and changing women’s proportions on magazine covers should take a close look at this guy’s shoulder to hip ratio, poor man. | He looks like he had a few ribs removed. Seriously why would they taper his waist so much? It’s a little creepy. |

| Lovely, the hint of wings is very well done. | Agreed. It’s soft and pretty. There is a Gothic quality that is intriguing me too. |

But even in her new home danger lurks, waiting in the shadows to pounce. | Ok, this cover completely freaks me out. The snake, the hand that I know is hers but seems like it’s in a different focus than the rest of her body… Still, as scary as this is, the snake head seems too out of place, I feel like it could have blended better and been even scarier. | This looks so much like the cover of VENOM by Tera Lynn Childs…except not as good. |

| I really like the skyline bleeding into the title. I’m surprised to see stand alone with such a series-eque cover, but well put together. | This doesn’t look like a modern cover. More like something I would have seen a couple decades ago. |

| This one fits the series, though it’s a little forgettable for me. I do like how the hero looks like a Wolverine knockoff. | He totally looks like a Wolverine impersonator. I don’t love it. |

| These models were well chosen, I’m impressed that their facial expressions are able to balance those truly impressive abs. Love his face, and her little smirk has my attention, if not my admiration. | There are faces on this cover? I’m still counting the six pack…seven pack…eight |

| This is going to be the hardest “Best Cover” decision of my life, I love so many of these. The layers on DAMAGE are fabulous, I love the almost chalkboard-esque look and the intensity of the heroine’s gaze. This cover would prompt me to pick up this, regardless of blurb. | I like this, but not as much as you. I agree with the chalk quality of the picture, but it’s a little off for me. |

| I so loved the ethereal quality of CLARITY, any sequel would have a hard time pleasing me. This cover doesn’t try to be as other-worldly as CLARITY, but is a lovely, recognizable addition to the series nonetheless. | I didn’t like this at first glance, but it’s grown on me. It’s not as strong as the cover of CLARITY, and the colors are a surprise, but I still can’t wait to read it. |

And our picks for Best & Worst…

Great covers!! I especially love Eventide and Damage! Now I have more books to add to my wish list...LOL
ReplyDeleteThe Perception cover is definitely the best out of the bunch in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI also like the cover for A Temptation of Angels. The premise, on the other hand, not so much. The description makes it sound like a possible love square. Seriously? I hope I'm misinterpreting things because that would be really lame. Two love interests is already one too many.
Jessica - The curls are lovely on PERCEPTION, but I love the striking eyes on CLARITY.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm never sure if the cover art reveals do justice to what the art will look on a book cover, but oh boy, that is a striking shoulder to hip ratio.
Lori - Those tattoos are so fabulous, aren't they? And I agree with Abigail, the continuity and accuracy of the tattoo are wonderful.
Marg - A TEMPTATION OF ANGELS has a wonderful questions, and I love the phrase "love square". Reading back, I think her choice is either her childhood friend or the brothers... which is a little weird. I never got the whole male fascination with twins, and the same holds when the gender roles are reversed. Talk about awkward holidays...
OMG! I loved the comments for Enraptured!
ReplyDeleteYou guys rock!
Love the cover for Forbidden and for Cursed!
