Description:

The second book in a new urban fantasy series featuring mosquito-sized fairies with poisonous bites that drive humans insane.

It's only been three weeks since Annabelle helped solve the murder of Grace Beauchamp, and in the process, she discovered a secret world of invisible, magic-working people who have decided she might have what it takes to join their ranks.

As best as she can determine, Annabelle’s attack by a group of fairies has infected her with paranormal ability she did not previously possess, including being able to mentally move objects and heal wounds. Her new abilities appear to have few negative side effects, aside from creepy dreams. But would that change if she stopped injecting herself with the mystery drug delivered to her by the even more mysterious Tucker, one of the Invisibles? Leery of trusting criminals with her health, Annabelle wishes she had someone she could talk to about the changes in her life. Enter Hitch, FBI agent and Annabelle's ex, who's back in Donaldsonville on an off-the-books investigation. Hitch suspects that there's a government-funded illegal lab that’s developing a controversial fairy-killing spray that could adversely affect the existence of every living thing in the delta—including humans. And Hitch and Annabelle will have to find a way to work together if they're going to find a way to shut it down.

  1. I can't really remember any creepy dream but just last week I dreamt my father had a heart attack. Hopefully not an omen.
    Anyway, great giveaway.

  2. I don't really remember my dreams! Sometimes I wake up with a wisp of something running around in my head, but by the time I've got my coffee, it's gone... I guess the + to that is that I don't recall scary/creepy dreams.

  3. You've just reminded me that I have a copy of Dead on the Delta sitting here. I should really read that.

  4. for me I think the creepiest dream I had was having everyone I know turn their backs on me and never acknowledge that I existed

  7. I have had some scary dreams, IDK if i'd call them creepy... i had one that still sticks to the top of my head for bad dreams. i had a dream my husband was trying to keep me from my oldest and i couldn't figure out why then i found out that my oldest was in the hospital dieing and didn't have much longer to live... it was enough to scare the bejesus out of me and i had to get up and check on my son after that nightmare. i am glad that i havent had it since that night. i dont think i'd be able to handle it again. it still gets to me...

  8. LOL, Just last night I dreamed that a crab the size of a big mac was crawling under my sheet trying to get me. I woke up hitting my husband.

  9. There was a Cary Grant movie where he's in Washington D.C. and the heroine is running around at night in the monuments hiding from the bad guys and I had a dream about the same thing with myself doing the hiding. It was the scariest dream I can remember.

  10. I had this for years and sometimes still do-We had a house fire, I barely got out , my mother didn't. She was drying her hair with big curlers and a over the head dryer (loud) and never heard it. The firemen would walk me in the black skeleton on our house to her room. There above the burnt our bed spring were curlers just floating in the air like they were still on her head. I always woke screaming from that one.

  11. Well, there are few I've had. They were/are quite personal and about my husband. I'm just going to leave it at that. When I woke up it was a WTF moments every-time I had them. Anyways, I'll just say they all ended-up as omens. Not but a few months later all the truths of those WTF dreams of my husband were revealed & made total sense. I'll never forget it. I don't think I could even if I wanted too. And it still really creeps me out to this day.
Thank you for this giveaway chance!

  13. I don't remember dreams very often. But, anytime that I dream about having to run from something I can't see, but not actually being able to run, is creepy to me. Why am I running and what's chasing me?

  14. Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I really liked book 1 and I'm looking forward to this newest release!

Ummmm... I don't really have nightmares/scary dreams. Just strange ones. Dreamed once that I was being chased by a giant pink cake with legs and a fork in one hand, seriously!, but that was more weird than scary. FYI, it didn't catch me :)

  15. Creepiest dream would have to be one where my husband and I were leading a band of people trying to save the world from packs of zombies. Guess I must have been reading too many postapocalyptic books!! (We were winning when I woke up!)

  16. No dreams lately but use to dream I was being chased.

  17. I had a dream that I was covered in spiders. I literally woke myself out of my dream cause while I was screaming in my dream, I started screaming in real life. The moment I heard my scream I woke up. But it was difficult to go back to sleep because I kept "feeling" spiders all over me.

  18. I had a weird/creepy dream that everything was flooded, I was possesed by a demon, and my dog was lost and I had to search through the flood waters calling for her. Very, very random.

  19. I can't say I have creepy dreams. I usually enjoy my dreams, they are like reading a good book and I often wake wishing the feelings and story would continue :) I did have one once where I was in a maze of a place and just kept searching and searching and could never find the bathroom, now that is a creepy feeling LOL Thank you for sharing with us today and for the awesome giveaway opportunity.

  21. Being pregnant, I'm having awful, creepy nightmares every night. Last night, I dreamt I was working at election polling station that was attacked by some kind of revolutionary army. I escaped by leading a few people under water with scuba gear (because the election station was at a marina - don't ask). We got trapped under the water by all these crazy pirate boats that sailed in above us, and then some giant man-eating octopus appeared. It could follow the sounds of our breathing, so we had to be quiet, but we were so deep that if we didn't breathe, our lungs would explode. I woke right before I figured out in what horrible way we would all die (as I do for most of my dreams).

Thanks for the giveaway! I loved Dead on the Delta and I'm really looking forward to Blood on the Bayou.

  22. One of my creepiest dreams lately is something bad happening to a family member, but I try not to read too much into it.

  23. I've had a lot of creepy dreams. Probably the creepiest is one I can't really remember other than the feeling it left me with. I woke up screaming and all day my skin crawled I was so freaked out by the after effects yet I can't remember what scared me so bad.

  24. One of my creepiest dream that I had would have been that I woke up covered in dirt and in a field while it was raining, apparently I was kidnap and then buried alive, it was creepy because in my dream i didn't recall what happen until my family told me, I woke up from the dream when i remember what happen. It was creepy dream.

  25. I used to have night terrors when I was little and the creepiest (and terrifying) thing about them is that I would get stabbed with something and actually feel it still when I woke up

  26. It was just the other night. I was walking in soft ground and started to sink when a female gorilla charged me but she sunk up to her chest in the muck. I was able to get away while she screeched like crazy. Then I came upon the male. A house suddenly appeared and I went inside and hide in a cinder block room. Then I woke up. Was creeped out.

  27. You know, I really don't remember a lot of my dreams, but one time I was dreaming about and Emu (why an Emu, I have no idea). We were nose to beak staring each other down and I suddenly woke up with my Cocker Spaniel sitting on my chest with her nose in my face. Scared the life out of me! I have actually had several dreams about Emus. Anyone have any idea what those dreams mean **LOL**. Thanks for the awesome contest!

  29. I don't usually remember my dreams, even the creepy ones, but I always hate the ones where you are positive that there is someone in the room with you, but you can't move, so you can't run away or anything.

  30. The creepiest dream that I had ever had was when I drempt that I was the only normal living human in a world fulled with Zombies. Even my family was zombies and I remember being really scared and just looking for a way to escape and find someone else who was normal like me. I was 10 or 11 when I had that dream, but I do remember that on that same night I had saw the movie Night of the Living Dead.

  31. I always have odd dreams. I always have dreams about dying or being shot and most of the time they are creepy because some strange man is after me or aliens or zombies. I think I constantly have horror movies playing in my head when I sleep lol.

    Thanks for the great giveaway

  33. The creepiest dream I ever had was one where I was married to my old boss - that freaked me right out because I always felt sorry for his wife who had to put up with him as much as me, and sleep with him too. :D

  34. I've had some real creepy dreams, and I'm not sure I wanna share. I'll share the one can I thought was funny. Everyone was at my funeral. I couldn't take it anymore and sat up in the coffin and scared the heck out of everyone. Don't know what that dream ment. LOL

  36. I have one dream that I have not had in many years, but I jump off this cliff, but never land. I have had it for many years, since I was a young girl. The cliff is near where my grandmother used to live. I get dared by someone and then jump. I am trying to catch myself when I fall, but no matter what I do, I can't stop and never land.
    Thanks for the great giveaway.

  37. I tend to put myself into books I've read (such as Harry Potter and Animorphs). But I don't tend to remember my dreams much, probably about one per 3-4 months. Of those I remember, they don't tend to be creepy.

  39. Zombies and Tremors working together in one dream. *shudders*

  40. I think one of the creepiest was not because the dream was scary. I dreamed that my college roommate was getting married. She called me the next day. Guess what. That was the creepy part.

I don't usually remember dreams. Sometimes chase dreams, where something is chasing you. I think I thrash myself awake.

I really enjoyed the first book. Look forward to the second.

  41. I really dont remember my dreams all that well. Im sure it had to do with spiders though I really cant stand them.

  42. The creepiest dream I've ever had is the creepiest because the only thing I remember is the distinct terror it made me feel. The fact that I can't get a distinct grasp on WHAT made me feel this. Just that it did. Ugh.

  43. A few years ago, I've had a recurring nightmare about monsters dancing in the basement of our house.

  44. Way back in 1969, when I was a very young kid, I had this recurring nightmare that a man was in our backyard looking into our kitchen. He raises a rifle and starts shooting everyone in our kitchen. I dropped down and all I can remember is that in the dream everyone but me died. This dream came for a few nights, then again a year later. The last time, I woke up to see my sister's empty bed and freaked out, feeling like it had really happened. So happy when she walked into the room. I've never had any dreams about monsters or beings - just people.

  47. I watch the Walking Dead, so sometimes after watching it my dreams will consist of zombies and the humans having to fight for their lives. It may not be the creepiest dream I've ever had but it's the most recent that I can remember.

  48. Creepiest dream would be having to do with zombies. I'm kind of fuzzy on details but I do remember that it was shortly after I watched Zombieland :) I loved Dead on the Delta so I can't wait to read this one!

  49. I tend to fall asleep while watching TV this makes for some really strange dreams.

  50. The most vivid one involved huge guys dressed like ninja's with those horrible double bladed ax headed long handled weapons used in the Middle Ages! They were hunting down and killing everyone in my neighborhood. I was frantically trying to get my children out of there! I woke up when they spotted us and came after us! Scary! But seriously?...ninja outfits? LOL. I can laugh now but with my kids involved, it wasn't funny at the time.
