Giveaway: TEMPEST by Julie Cross (audiobook)

Did you catch my review earlier this week for the time travel YA TEMPEST by Julie Cross (out January 17, 2012)?  I called it, “Exciting, exhilarating, and emotionally absorbing…There’s enough mystery, romance, intrigue, and action here to captivate any reader.  And it’s all told from the perspective of a humorous and disarming protagonist whose transformation over the course of this book has me completely invested in his story.”  Yeah.  I loved it, and I think you will too.  Thanks to Macmillan Audio, one of you will win a copy of the audiobook.  Enter via the widget below.

Description:

The year is 2009.  Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there’s no space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors – it’s just harmless fun.

That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future.

Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities.

But it’s not long before the people who shot Holly in 2009 come looking for Jackson in the past, and these “Enemies of Time” will stop at nothing to recruit this powerful young time-traveler.  Recruit… or kill him.

Piecing together the clues about his father, the Enemies of Time, and himself, Jackson must decide how far he’s willing to go to save Holly… and possibly the entire world.

  11. I would have to say that I would save John F Kennedy or Robert Kennedy. One was a great president and the other was a great too-be-president. Both were too young to die.
Thanks for the great giveaway and the chance to win.

  14. I agree with Melissa, definitely Martin Luther King Jr. I can only imagine what our country would be like now if he were still with us.

  15. That's a hard choice, there are so many wonderful people who have lost their lives early, before they reached their full potential. I was just thinking of someone who died early that I would like to meet recently, so I'll pick him - Jim Morrison of the Doors.

  21. Hmmmm! That's a hard one!

I would go back in time to save Darius from Dark Lover by J.R. Ward. I really didn't want him to die, but I was glad he wasn't exactly really dead either... LOL if you haven't read it, that doesn't make a lick of sense!

  22. Barrons...

    Well before Shadowbound anyway :)

  25. I know this sounds cliche' but, I'd go back and save Elvis Presley. Such a waste to see him get like that then die.

  28. I'm going with Patricia, since I'm reading a Jane Austen at the moment. I LOVE her writing and I want her to write more books, lol.

  29. I would go back and save River Phoenix or Heath Ledger. As a big fan of film, their deaths really left a sad gap in what could have been a cannon of great work.
