| A gritty, somewhat gothic looking urban setting and powerful looking redhead. Looks good to me. | This cover reminds me of an old Nancy Drew cover, I agree with Abigail. Very gothic and old-school |

Description: No official description yet, but here's what Kim had to say: "The Hollows World Book, The Hollows Insider which I'm just putting the finishing touches on, will be out this November. This will be a collection of spells, character descriptions, news articles, and recipes--among other tidbits. It has an encompassing story line, which makes it rather unique and a great Hollows story in itself. I've been working on this for a while now, and I'm very excited about it. Tons and tons of extra stuff. "

| We’ve only ever gotten glimpses of Rachel’s face, so it’s nice see see her a bit. But since this is all about the whole series, why couldn’t we get a group shot? I’d love to see Jenks. | I’m so excited about this book, it could have come in a brown paper bag and I’d be all over it. I know Jenks is always making fun of Rachel for dressing trashy, which I guess explains the Batman/Buff cross over outfit. |

| The blue, purple, and green colors work really well. Normally I don’t love the giant heads, but I like it here. | I’m not a fan of the Photoshopped landscape at the bottom (maybe it will look better in person), but the cover hero reminds me of Adrian Grenier (Aquaman from Entourage), so all is forgiven. |

| As with the previous cover, this guy has a slightly creepy expression on his face, but otherwise I like this. Lots of detail and the magic effect on her hand looks very cool. | This cover and copy are both pretty silly, which makes the cover model’s hands-on-hips sassiness just fabulous. Love it! |

| Big improvement over the first cover (I thought the pose of the first guy coupled with the cropped off head was not a good look) and I really like the blue they added. I‘m loving this series so far and can’t wait to read more. | Wow, that is one skinny and intense model, I feel like he really fits the Archimedes Fox vibe. Couldn’t you see him gliding out over a jungle of zombies and surviving? I agree with Abigail, much better than THE IRON DUKE’s odd Grease homage. |

| How fat is that belt buckle! I seriously want one. You can see it better on the cover for book one, but it really epitomizes these scorching hot dragon shifters for me. | Oh man, I agree, that belt buckle is awesome. That dragon tat is pretty kick-butt as well, I feel like they’ve given some pazzazz to the usual “headless shirtless man” motif. |

| Yay- it’s Dmitri’s book. Not so Yay – What is up with his head? It doesn’t look like it’s on the right body or even the right size. Big let down from the previous book. | I know I’m judging this book harshly, and Elena is a hard act to follow, but I wouldn’t have matched this book with the Guild Hunter series at all if it wasn’t for the title font. |

Fury is hands down my fav. I want to be a red head now.
ReplyDeleteRain Maiden - Me too!
ReplyDeleteBlood Rights is even better in person. I definitely agree with your choice of it as the best of the bunch. I recently received an ARC and hadn't seen the cover beforehand, and it blew my mind. I can't wait to see books two and three, and we shouldn't have to wait too long because they are releasing in Nov/Dec.
ReplyDeleteSara - You got an ARC already! Color me jealous. Let me know if you want to swap ARCs :)
ReplyDeleteOoh new Kim Harrison and a different Mary Janice Davidson. EXCITING
