Description: Two weeks after the events of The Iron Witch, reluctant alchemist-in-training, Donna Underwood, must face the consequences of her actions--actions that some believe make her a traitor. At the same time, Donna’s iron tattoos are acting strangely and she experiences bleak visions filled with warnings of a coming darkness. When the Wood Queen steps into her life once more, it appears that Donna’s role in the centuries old war against the fey is very far from over--only this time it is her mother’s life that hangs in the balance...

| The gorgeous filigree from THE IRON WITCH is a hard act to follow, and at first glance this cover didn’t do it for me. Once I looked at the enlarged cover (and placed it on a book rather than glowing out of my computer screen), I realized that the flash won’t be so washed out, and the branches over her arms tie back to the first cover. Very nice. | Yeah, this one didn’t ‘wow’ me at first glance either. But the more I looked at it, all the little details emerged. Not as good as the previous cover, but I like it. |

Description: This contains the first two books in the Blood Coven Vampire series: Boys that Bite & Stake That in one volume.

| This cover is ok, but I wouldn’t pick up the book on it’s basis alone. BOYS THAT BITE is my favorite cover in the series, a lot of sass and tension. STAKE THAT and this latest one are pretty forgettable… | I like the shock of orange and the flower detail enough to give this a mild thumbs up. |

| My thoughts on this one were quite literally, “Ooh, pretty necklace, I want to look closer… wait, where is her shoulder? Where is her shoulder?!” | Julia, you totally ruined this for me! All I saw was the pretty necklace and you had to point out the shoulder thing. Logically, I know her hair is just covering it, but my eyes are too busy screaming to listen. |

| In the darkness, I would expect bats not doves. Interesting effect, my eye kept trying to turn the doves into other limbs… | I don’t love the hyper colors. Maybe it looks better in person… |

| I feel like this cover image could have fit any number of books, it doesn’t really scream “zombie” to me. I love the title, though, and the arrangement of text on this cover really pulls everything together. | It totally screams zombie to me |

| *fan-girl-squee* I love anything that makes me feel one day closer to a new Ilona Andrews book. Love the sword, initially thought the guy had mutton chops (just stubble and scruffy hair, false alarm), all in all a nice addition to the series. I feel like the floating guy heads on all of these covers are a great “old school romance” touch, especially when paired with women poised and ready to kick butt. | Yep. I love it too. The colors are so soft and pretty. The autumn scenery is just lovely. Can not wait to read it! |

Description: October “Toby” Daye is settling into her new role as Countess of Goldengreen. She's actually dating again, and she's taken on Quentin as her squire. To prevent a war between land and sea, Toby must find the missing boys and prove the Queen of the Mists was not behind their abduction. Toby's search will take her from the streets of San Francisco to the lands beneath the waves, and her deadline is firm: she must find the boys in three days' time, or all of the Mists will pay the price. But someone is determined to stop her — and whoever it is isn't playing by Oberon's Laws…

| All of the previous art in this series has done a great job of including details from the book on the cover, which is why the fish scales on the gorgeous cover above is particularly worrisome. I was already eagerly awaiting this book, so glad to see such it getting such a fabulous cover. | Chris McGrath usually sticks to more muted colors, so I love the peachy pink here. And I’m behind on this series, but the mermaid idea is very intriguing. |

Description: Amy Goodnight's family is far from normal. She comes from a line of witches, but tries her best to stay far outside the family business. Her summer gig? Ranch-sitting for her aunt with her wacky but beautiful sister. Only the Goodnight Ranch is even less normal than it normally is. Bodies are being discovered, a ghost is on the prowl, and everywhere she turns, the hot neighbor cowboy is in her face.

| I feel like the smoke and the hair are just too busy together. Given the tension in the book description, I think they were going for the “smothered” feel, but this particular arrangement didn’t work for me. | The piercing green of her eyes, the paleness of her skin, and the vibrancy of her read hair all contrast really well. It works for me |

| As spare as this is, I want a little bit less. I feel like leaving off the subtitle would have made this cover even more effective and intriguing. | It is simple, but I kind of like that here. The Death Watch mentioned in the description is all it needed. |

| I need my “Neutral Hand”, this cover is nice but not particularly memorable. | I like how it slips from B&W to color. I think it’s nice enough for a thumbs up. |

| The cover is fine, but this one is all about the names on the front for me. Yes, please! Plus it’s pretty cool that Carolyn made this herself. Not bad for her first cover. | Despite the negative of His & Hers matching tattoos, I like all of the other staging of the cover models on this one. And I can't *wait* to read the stories these authors submit. |
