28 April 2010

Yes, I know I recently started using the IntenseDebate comment system, and while I liked it, I got a few complaints and have been researching other alternatives. I looked at several other choices and Echo looks like it might be the answer. Here’s why:

  • You don’t have to enter any personal info if you don’t want to. Just type your name and comment and click submit. That’s it
  • You can choose to login with tons of social network sites or with Blogger, Wordpress OpenID and more.
  • There is a simple text editor
  • Sharing is super easy

Basically it does everything IntenseDebate did that was great, and cuts out some of the annoying features that weren’t. Anyway, leave a comment and try it out. Please, please let me know what you think. I can always go back to IntenseDebate if you guys want.

**All the entries for my current contests are saved, but not visible. Even though they aren’t displayed, all previous entries still count. DON’T WORRY :)**

  7. Hi Abigail - this looks pretty user-friendly. I had no problem logging on with my Google account, so it'll probably remember me.

I really like this comment system. Might even look at putting this on my blogsite.

  12. Okay this is much better, easier and almost like a "blog post" with the toolbar. I hope it works better because once you test it out am probably going to switch mine to this too. Intense Debate works and sometimes it does not so in the same post some comments go to blogger comments and do not show up for some people....

I have seen this commenting section type before. I feel bad to admit it but I like this one better.

I was having troubles with the ID commenting system, then I think I figured it out her just recently. Not sure though. :) Hope you like this one.

  18. Hey so far so good. With the IntenseDebate comment system, I never knew if it was my computer or what. Sometimes it worked but most times when you hit Post, it sat there like a knot on a log and did nothing.
