Throwdown Thursday is a weekly thing [hosted by The Neverending Shelf] where we tackle books with similar characters, covers, themes, etc. to determine which one rocks more. And it is up to YOU to determine the winner!
Last weeks Throwdown asked Which do you like better: Buffy or Rose? The winner by nearly unanimous decision was: Buffy (Rose got one vote).

I like the UK version, as usual. Those brits have some good artist! The US cover is kinda Slutty and gives the impression of a country western bar where the UK version is mysterious and dark...oooooh.

ReplyDeleteI prefer the US cover - but only because that's a spot-on physical representation of Corine Solomon.

ReplyDeleteI'm throwing in with the UK version too. I just got Blue Diablo and haven't read it yet, so I may agree with you, Danielle, after finishing it.
ReplyDeleteThe UK cover, definitely. If it weren't for the great reviews of this book, I wouldn't have bothered with the US version. To me it looks pretty dodgy.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the UK cover. US one makes me think of Coyote Ugly, for whatever reasons. First time I see the UK cover and it would make me pick up the book, at least to read the back cover. The US one? I wouldn't even look at it twice.
