Blogger Scheduling is not working

Hey Guys.  You may have noticed our posting schedule has not been consistent for the past several days.  We’ve been pulling our hair out trying to figure out what the problem was and it turns out it’s Blogger’s new interface.  For whatever reason, it is causing the scheduling function for numerous blogs to just stop working.  Yeah. It’s awesome.

How do I feel about Blogger right now?

We rely on the scheduling feature.  Neither myself or Julia have a schedule that allows us to manually post at 6AM everyday.  I typically can’t get to my computer to check on things until after 11AM on most days and this week in particular is going to be even worse in that respect.

We just wanted to let you all know that we haven’t just stopped posting regularly or anything like that, and nothing is wrong with any of us.  We will simply have to manually post each day until Blogger fixes this problem.  So you will see posts randomly as one of us is able to post.  They are all done.  We try to stay at least a week ahead with scheduling, but we’re just not available to post them at the same time everyday.  Than you all for being so understanding.

PS – We really hate you right now, Blogger.

  1. I agree that it's a pain. I have tried several times to schedule posts to find them not published on the blog. They need to fix this ASAP

    1. It's been 3 days since they said they were going to fix it....I'm still waiting. This is a HUGE problem so I can't believe they haven't done something yet.

  2. Sorry Blogger scheduling is messing with you! I'm very happy mine is still working and hope it stays that way. I've come to rely on that specific function pretty heavily in the past few months.

  4. Scheduling stopped working for me last Monday. My Friday posts did show up on time, so I'm crossing my fingers that it will work tomorrow too.

so I don't mind and really probably won't even notice XD

  7. I feel your frustration. I worried at first that it was something I was doing, but then other people started posting they were having trouble. I don't even like the new interface!

  8. Fools! They're not planning to fix it!

The new blogger interface is yet another EPIC FAIL example of Google trying to fix what is not broken!
Please bloggers! Rally and put the pressure on Google! This is a small preview of what CLOUD COMPUTING will be like - a hostile technical communism where you have no say over what is forced on you!

  10. Argh..didn't know about this until I saw this post I have lots of articles not posting for my client. So this is really a workaround for me :(. Need to switch to wordpress later. Thanks for this article.

  11. I feel awful about the author posts I have scheduled. I can't get them up until hours later that they were scheduled and it makes me feel so unprofessional. I can't do anything about it this week, but come May, I think we're going to have to seriously discuss a move to Wordpress. This is just unacceptable.

  13. I stumbled upon a fix. You are probably using the interface where the url contains "draft", i.e. draft.blogger.com. Instead, use "www.blogger.com" and the scheduling function will work

  14. Another bundle of joy from Blogger! I really hate them sometimes. I'm using the old interface at the moment but they made the switch to the new one mandatory by the end of the month. I swear it's like living back into USSR sometimes-non-existent service and no choice whatsoever.

    1. We do everything from Windows Live Writer, so the scheduling mess is the only issue we've had with the new interface, but it's enough to make me want to scream.
