Now she’s facing an alchemist tribunal while her mother lies dying, succumbing to the elven curse that shattered her mind. In desperation, Donna seeks an audience with Aliette, the fierce and manipulative Wood Queen, who offers a deal: if Donna can use her strange and burgeoning powers to help the wood elves, Aliette will free her mother from the curse. 6. Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I like the US cover best. It shows more and gives the main character more "power" instead of looking emo and helpless.

  26. I like the U.K cover the most it's so beautiful and really represents the book title. You can tell what it's about just by looking at the cover including the title. With the Australia cover you can't. The U.S. cover you can, but I just think the cover for U.K. is gorgeous

  46. It's interesting to see how publishers in different countries choose to emphasize different things - since all of them are obviously trying to sell lots of books by using the most appealing cover.

The Australian cover doesn't do it for me at all. It's a pretty dress - but I don't think this is a 'pretty dress' kind of book.

The UK cover puts the iron tatoos front and center, which is good, I think, but I don't like the head-clutching pose of the girl. It makes me wonder if she's got a migraine or a hangover...

The US cover has the most active pose, but I wish the tattos on her arms weren't obscured like they are. Still, I like the US cover the best - which probably only shows that I'm a US reader!

  53. I like all of them and it would be a toss-up between the UK and US version, but for some reason I really like what seems to be light shining around her arms in the US version, so that one wins.

  54. Sounds interesting. I think I like the Australian cover the best.

  58. All the covers are very beautiful, but my favorite is the UK version. I love that the tattoos are the focal point, because they are a main focus of the books.
