Throwdown Thursday is a weekly thing [hosted by The Neverending Shelf] where we tackle books with similar characters, covers, themes, etc. to determine which one rocks more. And it is up to YOU to determine the winner!
Last weeks Throwdown asked: Audio Magic Strikes vs. Paperback Magic Strikes? The verdict by unanimous decision was Paperback Magic Strikes.
I’m sticking with Ilona Andrews again this week. On Wednesday the new Bayou Moon cover was posted, so I thought I would maliciously pit the Edge series against the Kate Daniel series (just based on covers), like children competing for their patents love, and force you guys to chose the best. Mwa Ha Ha (is that how you spell evil laughing?).
The Edge covers vs. The Kate Daniels covers

I have yet to read either series. I know, I know it's a crime against humanity. *bows head* Based on covers alone I'd have to go wtih The Edge series.
ReplyDeleteI just saw the Kate Daniels series on another blog and it sounded really good. I would have to say that the Daniels series covers win for me too :)
ReplyDeleteKate Daniels has Curran. No contest. Kate all the way!
ReplyDeleteBased on the covers, I'd have to go with Kate Daniels. Both have girls with swords, but the animals add more mystery than some guy's face.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with the Kate Daniels series. I really don't like books with floating heads.
ReplyDeleteI like the Kate Daniels covers better. More mystique. :-D I have another giveaway going on. ;-)
ReplyDeleteEven though I really like the cover of Bayou Moon, the Kate Daniels series looks a whole lot grittier, less fantastic.
ReplyDeleteKate it is.
This is a hard one for me having read both series and think they each have merits that make them unique and recommend for those who have not read them to do so. On the covers alone though am choosing the Kate Daniels series to win the throwdown, they just appeal more so far than The Edge series book covers....
