MEET the Drakes:
A darkly romantic, irresistibly alluring family of royal vampire blood.
This omnibus contains the Drake Chronicles, #1-3:
HEARTS AT STAKE – 4bats
The Blakes are rather different to your usual neighbours. They are vampires and some of the members of the family date back to the twelfth century. One of the children, Solange, is the only born female vampire known and, as such, she poses a direct threat to the vampire queen. Her best friend Lucy is human, and when Solange is kidnapped Lucy and Solange's brother, Nicholas, set out to save her. Lucy soon discovers that she would like to be more than just friends with Nicholas. But how does one go about dating a vampire? Meanwhile, Solange finds an unlikely ally in Kieran, a vampire slayer on the hunt for his father's killer.
It's been centuries since Isabeau St. Croix barely survived the French Revolution. Now she's made her way back to the living and she must face the ultimate test by confronting the evil British lord who left her for dead the day she turned into a vampire. That's if she can control her affection for Logan Drake, a vampire whose bite is as sweet as the revenge she seeks.
The clans are gathering for Helena's royal coronation as the next vampire queen, and new alliances are beginning to form now that the old rifts of Lady Natasha's reign have started to heal. But with a new common enemy, Leander Montmarte--a vicious leader who hopes to force Solange to marry him and usurp the power of the throne for himself--the clans must stand together to preserve the peace he threatens to destroy.
This second adventure in the Drake Chronicles--told from both Logan's and Isabeau's perspectives--has all the same butt-kicking action, heart-pounding romances and snarky humor that readers loved in Hearts at Stake, as well as exciting new revelations about the vampire dynasties to keep readers coming back for more.
Hunter Wild is the youngest in a long line of elite vampire hunters, a legacy that is both a blessing and a curse at the secret Helios-Ra Academy, where she excels at just about everything. Thanks to her friendship with Kieran Black, Hunter receives a special invitation to attend the coronation of Helena Drake, and for the first time, she sees the difference between vampires that must be hunted and vampires that can become friends—or even more. When students at the academy fall victim to a mysterious illness, Hunter suspects they are under attack from within. She will need someone she can trust to help her save the future of Helios-Ra . . . help that shockingly comes in the form of Quinn Drake, a drop-dead gorgeous vampire. Who said senior year would be easy?

Acute heightened senses and strength. Having only to drink blood and no sun are the downer's.

The whole blood thing would definitely be the worst. Fun giveaway, thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh I haven't read this one so it is a perfect giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would hate being a vampire, simply because I'm squeamish and would most likely throw up if I had to drink blood. :P
ReplyDeleteI love that they put all three books together, especially since this cover is so much prettier than the original three. Thank you so much for the giveaway!
The best part is having vampiric psychic powers. The worst part is having to survive on blood (ewww!).
ReplyDeleteangeldream3[AT]gmail[DOT]com
The best part of being a vampire is immortality, or at least a very long life, as well as enhanced strength, speed, and senses. The worst part is having to worry about where to get your next meal, unless they start selling blood or synthetic blood, it would be a hassle. Also the whole sunlight thing is kind of an inconvenience.

great giveaway!!!!
ReplyDeletecandice.debney @ gmail . com
The ability to charm ANYONE. And all of the physical and magical powers you get. Not being able to go in the sunlight sucks. And not enjoying food.
ReplyDeleteamber.hrkns at gmail dot com
I would think not being able to enjoy regular food would be a major bummer.

I think the worst part about being a vampire would be having to watch all of your loved ones age and pass on. The best would be the adventures and power you would be able to experience! The possibilities are endless!
ReplyDeleteThanks!

This book sounds really amazing. I can't wait to read it. Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteiscelapineda@yahoo.com
Long life would be a positive. Blood drinking would be the worst.
ReplyDeletekathybaug at aol dot com
Best part - strength and speed and sex appeal
ReplyDeleteWorst - creatures of the night, very apparent weakness, limited blood diet
Best part is having an extended lifeline and heightened senses.
ReplyDeleteWorst part is having to live off blood. Food isn't as tasty or enough.
P.S. I am non-US so please don't include me.
best part I guess is the extra strength and senses. worst...drinking blood.
ReplyDeleteWorst thing about being a vampire? I'm going with the bloodsucking. And not being able to eat real food. Best...well, immortality, baby! :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about this trilogy. Please do include me.

Thanks for the giveaway. The best part of being a vampire would be the powers and strength you have and living for ever. The worst part is drinking blood and not being able to eat and drink human stuff. Please enter me in contest. I really want to read this book. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI think the best part would be all the strength and speed they would have. The worst part.. well.. the blood drinking to stay alive and not being able to eat real yummy food.
ReplyDeletejuliecookies(at)gmail.com
The diet. Who would want blood all of the time when there's chocolate waiting to be eaten?
ReplyDeletemeredithfl at gmail dot com
I loved book 1 and I am dying to read book 2 and 3. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteThe Best part about being a vampire is that you can live forever. The worse part about being a vampire is that you would end up watching a lot of people you love grow old and die. Not to mention that drinking blood to survive sounds kinda gross...

I love a good omnibus but they are killer on the wrists to carry/read. I wonder if anyone else agrees. I haven't read this series yet but it sound enticing. Thanks for the offering!
ReplyDeletePabkins @ Mission to Read
best part is living a long time or forever
ReplyDeleteworst is a tie between no sunlight and no food.
mpalacios21@gmail.com
Cool question. The best part of being a vampire would be being in the middle of history as it keeps unfolding and experiencing it firsthand. The worst part would be watching the people you love grow old and die.
ReplyDeleteI have to say the best part about being a vampire is being an immortal (imagine how many books you can read in that time). The worst part is the time as well - think about how many loved ones you leave behind.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this giveaway!
PelicanJL@hotamil.com

ReplyDeleteI think the best part about being a vampire is the strength and immortality. I think the worst part about being a vampire is the bloodlust and not being able to share who you really are with new people that come into your life.
